As with any electrical appliance, please remember to remove the plug from the mains supply before cleaning or undertaking any maintenance. It is also important that you refer to the instructions manual supplied with the appliance as there may be specific instructions for your model. You will need to clean the outer casing, though be sure not to use abrasive cleaners when cleaning the outer casing of your electric appliance. For painted castings, frames and frets, wipe your appliance with a damp cloth and buff with a lint free duster. Using a soft cloth or the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner, clean the air inlets and outlet grilles regularly to avoid build up, that can damage the performance of the appliance. It is important that you refer to your instruction manual for instructions regarding the cleaning of the log mouldings. For appliances with printed glass, it is best to use dedicated products that are formulated specifically for cleaning stove glass.
