Standard Radiators or Panel Radiators are the most common type of radiator and are available in a wide range of sizes. The larger the radiator the greater the heat output (measured in BTU or KW) Radiator output can be increased by using Double Radiators. Most types of panel radiator have fins attached to the back faces, this induces convected heat. To connect your radiator to your central heating system requires Radiator Valves. At one end of the radiator the handwheel valve turns the water flow on or off. The lockshield valve at the other side is used to balance the heating system. Thermostatic valves can be used in place of handwheel valves, thermostatic valves regulate the temperature of individual radiators. At the top corner of the radiators is the bleed valve. The bleed valve is used to release air that has gradually built up inside the radiator. BHL supply a wide range of panel radiators including Stelrad Elite, Quinn Roundtop and DeLonghi Compact.
