Fast-filling baths, power showers without pumps, constant water pressure (even when the washing machine is on and someone else is flushing a toilet), no frozen pipes, efficient hot water delivery throughout the house, lower household utility bills… Welcome to Excelsior - design for living!
With a reputation for innovation and excellent workmanship, Fabdec is one of the UK’s leading producers of unvented water heaters and the first to manufacture products using duplex stainless steel – a lighter, stronger and safer material than any other previously used. The EXCELSIOR water heater is already setting equally impressive standards. Designed and manufactured in the UK, the Excelsior and Excelsior S provide an advanced, flexible and energy efficient solution for hot water delivery throughout your home.
Excelsior unvented water heaters offer high performance, top quality and reliability at an affordable price. The use of a stainless steel cylinder is especially good news in hard water areas, where copper cylinders are prone to corrode. Stainless steel construction also means that there is no need for anodes, which are intended to counteract corrosion in other water heaters (and require regular replacement at significant expense). Excelsior water heaters are low maintenance. Along with spares and service back-up, they come with a comprehensive 25-year cylinder guarantee.
Because design plays an increasingly important role in our home environments, Excelsior heaters are good-looking, too. Forget clunky tanks, a multitude of unsightly pipes and fittings and those ugly insulation jackets. These water heaters are sleek, striking and contemporary – so you won’t need to banish them to the airing cupboard or the loft. For that matter, you won’t need to banish them at all. Aside from their designer finishes, the beauty of Excelsior heaters is that they can be installed absolutely anywhere in your home. Provided that you have sufficient plumbing, you can install your Excelsior wherever you like – without any detrimental effect on the quality of water delivery around your house. The Excelsior is available in seven cylinder sizes, ranging from 80 litres to 305 litres, so there’s a size suitable for every home.
The new Excelsior and Excelsior S water heaters with external expansion come with a 25-year cylinder guarantee and comprehensive spares and service back-up. Corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction avoids the requirement for sacrificial anodes and ensures a long life, with fewer service call-outs for increased customer peace of mind.
BBA approved, the Excelsior water heaters don’t require a header tank, so can be sited anywhere on the property, subject to suitable plumbing and water pressure. A minimum requirement of 1.5 bar pressure and 15 litres per minute flow rate is suggested for satisfactory operation – although 85% of all UK homes now have pressure of more than 2 bar.
Because both hot and cold water comes direct from the mains, the Excelsior can be sited in any location on any floor of the property. Try to keep pipe runs as short as possible for maximum economy. The unit can be fitted into a conventional airing cupboard and does not require any extra insulation. In addition, when in use, it will not be hot to touch.
A high efficiency coil enables fast heat recovery for lower consumer energy bills, while a dropped coil design ensures that the full water content is heated.
The Excelsior’s lightweight design, flexible positioning, low maintenance and simpler plumbing requirements make it advantageous for both installers and specifiers. The ease and speed of installation is also significantly increased by the use of push-fit connections, which saves labour time and cost.

  Customer Testimonial
We requested costs on a new water cylinder, you helped with the spec and said it will be delivered in 3 days.
Hey presto it arrived today (Thur).
It is so out of the ordinary that someone actually delivers what they promise, especially over the net.
We can have hot water now, which is such a relief for me but especially for my wife (know what I mean).
Thank your team from all of us.
PS Price was the best too.
