Man uses bathroom accessories as flower pots
A Southampton man has made use of his old bathroom ware by using his former toilets and sinks as flower pots.
Green-fingered Brian Andow has a front garden full of all the usual suspects found in an English country garden, however, these pansies, roses and daffodils can be found growing in old bathroom equipment.
The 62-year-old, who used to work for British Gas before his retirement, told the Daily Echo newspaper that his bathroom fittings garden has become somewhat of a local attraction.
He said: "People often come round to have a look… We see people leaning over the wall. It seems to put a smile on people's faces… I've had a few remarks about the toilets especially."
Mr Andow spends time in his garden every day and says that his bathroom features make excellent containers for his plants.
The durable nature of bathroom fittings such as baths, sinks and toilets mean that they are able to be recycled and used as flower pots rather than being taken down to the dump.
