Will Winchester locals be inspired to get new boiler?
Locals in Winchester are set to learn just how energy efficient their homes are, which may inspire them to purchase a new gas boiler.
The Energy Saving Partnership's award-winning HeatSeekers vehicle scheme is set to see specialist vehicles hitting the streets at night to photograph properties in the area using thermal imaging technology, 24 dash reports.
The resulting pictures are able to pinpoint the areas of the house where the most heat is being lost, showing homeowners where best to top up insulation.
However, consumers could find that their energy efficiency can also be increased by investing in a new condensing boiler.
According to the Energy Saving Trust, such a gas boiler is the most energy efficient on the domestic market and could see people making savings on their energy bills of over £200 a year.
Teamed with improved insulation, such action could see bill-payers making considerable savings.
