Health centre to go green with heat pump and biomass boiler
Renewable energy will be key in the proposed green construction of a health centre in Scunthorpe, which is set to include a biomass boiler, ground source heat pump and solar panels.
An artist's impression has detailed what the new health centre will look like and include in the project which is set to cost £15 million, the Scunthorpe Telegraph reports.
Indeed, architects hope to secure 20 per cent of the building's energy through renewable technology in order to ensure the centre is both modern and sustainable.
According to the news resource the public reaction to the plans has been favourable, reader Chris Houldridge stated: "It looks nice, very futuristic and welcoming. I think it will sit nice in the town centre."
Ground source heat pumps and solar panels can both be used to boost a property's
central heating system and hot water supply with clean energy, lessening the amount of carbon emissions released into the atmosphere.
