A disused hospital in Yorkshire is the planned site for the development of 75 eco-homes, it has been announced.
Warfdale Hospital in Otley, near Leeds, has been acquired by English Partnerships which plans on regenerating the building, according to the Bradford Telegraph & Argus.
It has announced that the hospital's chimney and b
oiler house will be converted into a biomass b

At present, it is being taken through the planning process and will then be put on the market.
A spokesman for English Partnerships said: "This unprecedented step has been taken due to the site's historical importance and to ensure a blueprint for sustainable development is achieved."
It was also stated that the homes will include sustainable
drainage systems, living glass roofs and south-facing living area to provide heat and cooling.
English Partnerships is the UK government's national regeneration agency which is also overseeing projects throughout the country compri
sing around 6,000 hectares of land.
